Madrid - FIFA
Real Betis kept up their challenge for a top-four finish in the Primera Division as Jorge Molina's goal 10 minutes from time handed them a 1-0 win at Celta Vigo on Monday. The hosts had the best opportunity of the first half as Iago Aspas fired just wide, but Betis carried a greater threat after the interval and finally made the breakthrough late on. Nacho's low cross found Molina just inside the area and the striker showed great presence to fire low past Javi Varas into the bottom corner. Augusto Fernandez, Gustavo Cabral and Mario Bermejo all passed up glorious opportunities as Celta pushed for a late equaliser, but a second straight defeat sees them remain just two points above the drop zone. In the evening's other match, Deportivo La Coruna missed the chance to climb off the bottom of the table after being held to a goalless draw at home by Real Valladolid. From FIFA
