Benfica share spoils with Braga

Leaders Benfica had to come from a goal down away at fifth-placed Braga to earn a 1-1 draw in the Liga Sagres. Rodrigo Lima had given the home side the lead with a penalty on the stroke of half-time, but Rodrigo Moreno Machado netted the equaliser with 17 minutes to go. Sporting Lisbon won 3-1 at home to Uniao Leiria with a double from Matias Fernandez and a late goal from Ricky van Wolfswinkel sealing the victory. Jorge Djaniny got what proved to be a consolation for the visitors. Goals from Gomes Nildo Petrolina and Artur earned Beira Mar a 2-1 win at home over strugglers Feirense. The visitors replied through Carlos Fonseca late on, but he was also shown a second yellow card and was dismissed. Rio Ave recovered from the dismissal of Monteiro Eder after just 12 minutes to win 2-1 at home over Nacional with goals from Henrique Joao Tomas and Atsu Christian. Ferreira Claudemir had given the visitors the lead with a first-half penalty, but they were also reduced to ten men when Luis Alberto was sent off with 12 minutes to go. Finally, the game between Vitoria Setubal and Gil Vincente ended in a goalless draw.
