Syria’s Prime Minister Emad Khamis said that his government has not turned to use its cash reserve existed in the Syrian Central Bank, adding that they work to take measures aiming to increase it. He added that the Syrian government used unannounced policy aiming to finance a number of important items related to the government’s needs.

He added that the Syrian government has enough reserves to meet its financial commitments during the coming period, stressing that the policies adopted by the Syrian government are based on investing each available source to move forward the Syrian production and to secure the needs of citizens and to meet the demands of Syrian army.

He added that he conducted a serious dialogue with heads of Syrian banks, as they talked transparently over the challenges facing them in dealing with the banking systems implemented during the current period. He added that they called the government for adopting flexible policies in dealing with the current conditions witnessed in the country in the light of the international sanctions imposed on the Syrian regime.

He added that they underlined the interference in the judicial verdicts to suspend them, adding that they blamed what they described as corruption for the current failure in the works of the Syrian banks. He added that he conducted a meeting to gather between the minister of justice and the banks officials, stressing the need for supporting the judiciary to be a supporting element for the work of Syrian banks not a challenging one.
