Deputy Minister of Finance for Public Treasury affairs , Mohammed Maeed revealed that his ministry did not take any current steps to increase cash support on ration cards , confirming the continuation of it at the rate of 21 pounds for every individual , denying any rumors of any increase.

During an interview with “ Arab Today “ , He said that the money allocated to support social protection programs was increased to 200 billion pounds in 2017-2018 Financial Year Budget Project , compared to last year and with difference of 60 billion pounds , and this increase includes the families 

benefiting from the Takaful and Dignity program.

He confirmed that only quarter of the public budget is spent on the state and the rest of a 1.2 Trillion pound is divided between debt cost, salaries and financial support , stressing that rationalization of expenditure is not a bad thing and it it will help to deal with the current budget deficit .

He said the 2017-2018 fiscal year budget achieved the constitutional criteria  and it will include a integrated policy to fix the pension system and to improve the Health insurance system to reassure  all the citizens about health Services.

He confirmed that a protocol with the Central Bank was signed to regulate the government's financial payments during the first quarter of 2018  during which the ministry of Finance will be done with the mechanization of payroll operations to the administrative workers .
