UAE university's new provost

Professor Wyatt Rory Hume Dubai - Arabstoday The UAE University (UAEU) announced the appointment of its new provost yesterday afternoon upon the departure of the current provost, Professor Wyatt Rory Hume. Professor Mohammad Yousuf Hasan Baniyas's role as Provost will become effective at the end of the month. He currently holds the position of Associate Dean of Medicine at the institution. "We've announced a new provost and we've gone with an internal choice and it's a national, Professor Mohammad Yousuf, Associate Dean of Medicine," said Dr Abdullah Al Khanbashi, Vice-Chancellor of UAEU. "At this university we always search internally and externally for recruits and Professor Yousuf is fully qualified and has been at the university for a long time; he's as good as anyone else we would have brought from outside."
