Bahia Rashidi happy for “Families from the North”

Algerian Actress Bahia Rashidi expressed her pleasure for participating in the new TV drama show entitled “Families from the North”, describing it as one of the greatest drama works in the Arab world.

She added that the new series is considered one of the major works that will enrich her career, adding that it provides her with an opportunity to appear in a different role from the previous roles she performed during her career since its beginning.

She stressed the new work is considered a good opportunity for her to promote the Algerian accent among the Arab world, as each actor participating in the series will use his local accent and they will keep their real names. She added that the new drama show aims to unify the Arab nation during the current critical period in the light of the current challenges facing its countries.

She added that she performs a role of authoritarian mother who attempt to impose her vision on her sons and family. She added that she works to impose her traditions on her sons who marry from the other countries.

She added, in a statement to “Arabs Today”, that the series will underline a number of social issues, including the use of drugs. She added that she is scheduled to end filming her role during this month, adding that she gives priority to the current work.
