Palestinian Foreign Ministry: Israel Disrespects International Condemnation of Settlements

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Palestine said on Tuesday that the Israeli government continues to challenge the international will towards peace, as well as its disrespect of continuing international condemnations of illegal settlement construction. 
In a press statement, the Ministry strongly condemned Israel's attempts to build 2,500 housing units in the settlement neighborhood of Gilo, near Jerusalem, according to (WAFA) news agency. 
It said such a plan targets to ban territorial contiguity between occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank, adding that it will undermine a two-state solution. 
The Ministry called on the international community to hold Israel, the occupying power, responsible for the grave consequences of its obstruction of the two-state solution.
