The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) condemned Saturday that Syrian regime and its allies' "continued brutal shelling" of the northern Syrian city of Aleppo which left hundreds of civilians either dead or injured. 
"The GCC member states denounce the heinous crimes committed against armless civilians of Aleppo as crimes against humanity," GCC Secretary General Abdulatif Al Zayani said. 
He added that the GCC states urge the United Nations Security Council and the countries brokering the recent ceasefire in Syria to take action to stop such escalation. 
The GCC Chief blamed the Syrian regime and its supporters for the brutal attacks and airstrikes on civilian targets in Aleppo.
