Egypt condemns Qatif bomb attack

Egypt has strongly condemned a terrorist attack that took place in the Saudi city of Qatif late Sunday.
The bomb attack left one security officer dead and six others wounded.
Egypt condoles with the government and people of Saudi Arabia for the death of the officer, a statement by the Foreign Ministry said Monday.
It also wished the injured a speedy recovery.
The statement stressed Egypt's support for Saudi Arabia in the face of terrorism and extremism meant to destabilize the region.
Cairo also backs all Saudi measures to nip in the bud plots of terrorist organizations, it said.
The statement also renewed calls for unified international efforts to counter terrorism and extremism.
A comprehensive vision is needed to stop the spread of this phenomenon and cut supplies to terrorists, it added.
