Egypt condemns Jordan suicide attack

The Foreign Ministry condemned the car bomb attack that targeted a Jordanian military post near the Jordanian-Syrian borders and left a number of soldiers killed and injured.
In a statement, the ministry extended condolences to the Jordanian government, people and victims’ families.
Egypt fully supports Jordan against terrorism targeting its security and stability and all measures the country takes to combat terrorism and violence, it said.
International efforts are needed to lay out a comprehensive and effective strategy against terrorism, it added.
The attack took place early on Tuesday in the Rukban district near a Syrian refugee camp.
