Azhar slams North Sinai suicide attack

Al Azhar condemned on Friday the terrorist attack that targeted a security checkpoint in North Sinai earlier in the day, killing 12 servicemen and wounding six others.
In a statement, Al Azhar said Islam categorically prohibits such heinous terrorist acts, calling on the army and police personnel to arrest perpetrators of such terrorist attacks as soon as possible.
Perpetrators of such terrorist attacks have nothing to do with patriotism and humanity, the statement added.
Al Azhar further offered condolences to families of the martyrs and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
