Arab League Council condemns killing of Russian Ambassador to Turkey

The Arab League Council has denounced the assassination of the Russian ambassador to Turkey, Andrei Karlov.
The Council at the level of Foreign Ministers reiterated in a statement its condemnation of terrorism in all its forms, calling for concerted international efforts to combat this hateful phenomenon, in the light of the growing threat to international security and stability.
The League Council stressed the need of protecting diplomats and international envoys according to the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961, and offered condolences to the family of the deceased and the Russian Federation's government and people.
