AL chief slams London's suicide attacks
Cairo - Arab Today

Secretary General of the Arab League (AL) Ahmed Abul Gheit strongly condemned the two terrorist attacks that took place in London's London Bridge and Borough Market.

The assaults left seven people dead and injured 50 others.

Abul Gheit offered condolences to the families of the victims as well as the British cabinet and people, wishing a speedy recovery for the wounded.

AL secretary general's spokesman Mahmoud Afifi stressed that the two terrorist attacks reflect the barbarism and cruelty of the extremist organizations that target killing innocent people without mercy.

This contradicts with the teachings of any religion or humanitarian values which entails uniting efforts of the international community, the spokesman affirmed.

Eradicating terrorism became one of the most important challenges facing the world now, Affifi reiterated.
