UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon spoke with Nigeria President-Elect Muhammadu Buhari by telephone Wednesday to congratulate him on his election victory.
The Secretary-General talked to President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and Major General (Retired) Muhammadu Buhari, Ban's office said in a statement. He congratulated President-elect Buhari and commended President Jonathan for his leadership throughout the electoral process and his statesmanship in upholding the democratic process.
