Dakar - Arab Today

Senegalese Foreign minister Mankeur Ndiaye Dakar - Arab Today Senegal strongly supports the autonomy plan for the Sahara presented by Morocco within its sovereignty and territorial integrity, reaffirmed Senegalese foreign minister, Mankeur Ndiaye. Quoted by Senegalese daily “Le Soleil et Le Populaire,” the head of the Senegalese diplomacy said Dakar and Rabat are working together to preserve the integrity and the defense of the first national cause of Morocco. The Senegalese minister stressed that his country “works within the African Union, making the case for Morocco whenever this issue is raised.” “I want to take this opportunity to say a clear and precise thing: The Sahara issue is in the hands of the UN. The African Union should not be involved in this issue,” the minister added. Source: MAP
