Rabat – Hussein Idrissi

Edriss Loshkor's leftist control in region Rabat – Hussein Idrissi Edriss Loshkor secured the leadership of the Socialist Union of Popular Forces with 975 votes, 200 votes ahead of his closest rival, at the ninth National Congress of the largest left-wing party in Morocco. In a press conference ahead of the vote, Loshkor called for a modern parliamentary monarchy in Morocco. The leftist leader stressed that his political programme will be based on four key objectives, centred on promoting the socialist project in Morocco and openness to globalisation. Loshkor said one of his main priorities, after earning the trust and confidence of his party's leadership, would be "unifying the federal family.”
