Media presenter Sahar Abbas Jamil
Baghdad - Najla Al Taee

Media presenter and daughter of Iraqi composer Abbas Jamil, Sahar Abbas Jamil revealed that she was threatened by the channel she works for, because she refused to say lies and not to talk about national issues.

She said in a statement that “Arab Today” saw, that this is the end of her term in the channel, and she thinks Iraq will face big moral dilemma, when a group of men decide to target a single young woman, calling her with bad names and cursing her, just to silent her from speaking her free opinion.

She added that she is not afraid of such group, and she will always be a brave Iraqi young woman standing for what is right and fighting anything wrong, and she is always ready to face such radical thinking.

She is a media presenter at “The Change” TV channel, lived in Baghdad until her father died, and then moved to Jordan with her family. She graduated from college of Information at the University of Baghdad, and won the best media presenter of the year for two years in a row for her political show.
