At least one person was killed and more than 10 injured Thursday when an unfinished viaduct collapsed in the southeastern Brazilian city of Belo Horizonte, firefighters said.
Broadcaster Globo showed the viaduct, some five kilometers (three miles) from the city's World Cup stadium, had fallen, crushing the front of a bus.
City firefighters said on their official Twitter account that one person was dead but Globo reported a death toll of two with 19 injured.
Another vehicle was reported crushed as firefighters sought to reach it to determine if there were further victims.
Belo Horizonte's nearby Mineirao Stadium has hosted four World Cup matches and is due to host a semi-final next Tuesday.
