A Taliban insurgent member had been captured in Afghan capital of Kabul following a special raid, a military statement said on Sunday.
"The Afghan Special Operation Forces carried out an operation in Bagrami District, Kabul province, capturing a Taliban member on Friday," the statement released by the Afghan Special Operation Forces Operational Coordination Command said.
No security force member or civilian was hurt during the raid, it said, adding that the arrest would further enhance security in the district.
On April 11, two employees of the country's Education Ministry were killed and seven others wounded after a Taliban roadside bombing struck a bus in Bagrami District in southeastern Kabul.
The government bus was badly damaged in the blast.
The Afghan security forces have beefed up security operations against militants recently as spring and summer known as fighting season is drawing near in the country.
