Police in Sweden said they arrested a suspected thief when he left a trail of footprints in the snow from a burglarized psychiatric ward to his apartment. Investigators said they responded Sunday to the psychiatric facility in Boden on a report of a burglary, and they discovered a set of footprints in the fresh snow leading from the building to a nearby apartment, The Local.se reported Monday. "We tracked him to his address. He hadn't counted on the fact that it had snowed during the night," Officer Erik Kummu told the Norrlandska socialdemokraten newspaper. Police said the shoes of a man inside the apartment matched the footprints found in the snow. The man was arrested on a burglary count.
