Soldier killed in east Ukraine despite truce with rebels

A Ukrainian soldier was shot dead in the conflict-torn east of the ex-Soviet nation, shattering a weeks-long ceasefire between government forces and pro-Russian separatists, Kiev said Wednesday.
On Tuesday pro-Moscow rebels "fired on our positions" using grenade launchers, the Ukrainian military said in a statement on Facebook, saying one soldier had died and two more were injured.
