Saudi soldier martyred in Najran Region

A security spokesman at the Saudi Ministry of Interior has announced the martyrdom of a Saudi soldier as a result of intensive shelling on an advanced border post in Najran Region from across the southern border.

The Saudi Press Agency, SPA, quoted the spokesman as saying that, "An advanced border post in Najran Region was subject to intensive fire and military projectiles across the border which were dealt accordingly with support of land forces who exchanged fire with the hostile elements and controlled the situation."

"Corporal Mohammed Yahya Al-Najee of the border guard was martyred as a result of the action, the spokesman said, appealing to Allah Almighty to accept him and bestow his mercy on his soul," the spokesman added.
