Family members of the Chinese sailors killed or missing in the attack on two cargo ships on the Mekong River last week returned to China from Thailand on Friday. The 29 relatives of the 13 sailors - 12 were killed and another remains missing, arrived in southwest Yunnan Province around 8:40 p.m. on Friday. The 29 relatives arrived in the Chiang Saen district of northern Qiang Rai province Thursday night to mourn the victims and conduct DNA tests to verify the identities of the bodies. Qiu Jian, one of the relatives, said he believes the government will find out the truth regarding the incident as quickly as possible. Qiu said he also looks forward to bringing the body of his family member home for burial. A group of unidentified gunmen attacked the two ships on Oct.
