Pakistani premier Yousef Raza Gilani, who arrived here on Tuesday evening called his visit to ran 'positive'. Gilani in a meeting with the province Governor General Mahmoud Salahi said that in meetings with President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and First Vice-President Mohammad Reza Rahimi and a number of cabinet ministers good results were achieved for developing bilateral cooperation. Gilani called for developing economic and trade cooperation, especially with the province and added that in the fields of agriculture and industry and creation of infra-structures in Pakistan, his country intends to use experiences of the Khorasan Razavi Province. He referred to good bilateral political relations and said that Pakistan consulate will be commissioned soon in Bandar Abbas, capital of southern province of Hormuzgan. Salahi, for his part, expounded on capabilties of the province and said that the province with six million population is an industrial and mine province. In the field of agriculture, the governor general said that the province produces more than 10 million tons of agricultural products of many varieties. Referring to good relations between the province and Pakistani province of Punjab, Salahi said that we are interested to develop our ties with Pakistan and currently several projects are being executed in Punjab province and we are ready to expand cooperation with other Pakistani provinces, too. Pakistan Prime Minister and his accompanying delegation arrived in Tehran on Sunday evening and had meetings with President Ahmadinejad, as well as with first VP and Majlis speaker.
