Nine Militants Killed in North Algeria

Algeria's National Defence Ministry today said in a statement that nine militants were killed in the country's province of Bouira .
The statement added that the Algerian military seized 5 Kalachnikov, 3 semi-automatic rifles and a quantity of ammunition. Thus, this morning's operation, which is still ongoing, brings the number of the killed militants to 14. It has also allowed the recovery of 13 firearms, a quantity of ammunition and various objects.
"This quality and decisive operation led by the units of the People's National Army renews the firm determination of our forces to eliminate those criminal groups and the scourge of terrorism in the country," added the statement.
