Military helicopter crash claims 17 Turkish soldiers

Seventeen Turkish soldiers were reported dead Saturday after a military helicopter crashed in the country's south-east, reported Turkish media. According to dpa, the crash in the mountainous province of Siirt might have been due to poor weather conditions, according to the reports. The helicopter was carrying 14 members of a special military police unit, along with flight crew members. Authorities said there were no survivors.
