A Birmingham, Ala., man was indicted for threatening the life of President Obama on his Twitter page, the U.S. Justice Department said. In the indictment, Jarvis Britton, 25, was charged with knowingly threatening to kill, kidnap or inflict bodily harm on the president by posting the message, "Let's kill the president. F.E.A.R.," Sept. 14, the office of the U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Alabama said Wednesday in a release. Britton was arrested Friday and charged with threatening the president, prosecutors said. "Threats on the life of the president of the United States are a serious matter. We will prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law," U.S. Attorney Joyce White Vance said.
