Saudi Ministry of the Interior announced on Sunday that a soldier was martyred and two others were injured in a land mine explosion in Jazan Region.
Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted the Security Spokesman of the Ministry of the Interior as saying: "While patrol guard were conducting its duty at Al-Daer sector in Jazan Region, they exposed to a landmine explosion, resulting in the death of Corporal Issa Mothwah Muaper Al-Rethe, and wounding of three of his colleagues, who were admitted to hospital for treatment." The competent authorities of the border guards have begun an investigation into this incident, the SPA added.
