Indian Navy aircraft crashes off coast of western state

A surveillance aircraft of the Indian Navy crashed in the Arabian Sea off the coast of the western state of Goa late Tuesday night, a senior defense official said Wednesday.
While one of the three Navy officers who were on board has been rescued, two officers are still missing and a massive search operation is underway to find them, he said on condition of anonymity.
"The mishap happened around 11 p.m. (local time) Tuesday when the Dornier aircraft was on a routine sortie," the official said.
A probe has been ordered into the incident, he added.
