Gunmen kill 2 Indonesian police

Gunmen on a motorcycle shot dead two policemen near the Indonesian capital, dpa quoted police as saying Saturday. One of the officers was riding a motorcycle when two attackers approached and shot him late Friday in Tangerang, just west of Jakarta, city police spokesman Rikwanto said. A group of policemen in a minivan gave chase but crashed into a gutter, and one of the gunmen shot dead the driver, Rikwanto said. The attackers managed to escaped after stealing another motorcycle.
