At least 23 militants were killed as Pakistani fighter jets targeted militant hideouts in North Waziristan tribal agency bordering Afghanistan on Wednesday.
A statement issued by Pakistan military's Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that four militant hideouts were also destroyed through "effective and precise aerial strikes" in Shawal area of the northern agency.
The airstrikes are a continuation of military offensive against the foreign and local militants in North Waziristan since June 15. Pakistan military has paced up the offensive following a brutal militant attack on an army run school in Peshawar city killing at least 148 people including children.
