DPRK celebrates 63rd anniversary of foundation

The Democratic People's Republic of Korea has held a national meeting to celebrate 63 years since the country's birth. Speaking at the meeting in the Pyongyang Indoor Stadium, DPRK Premier Choe Yong Rim called upon all departments to continue strengthening the military and consolidating the country's defensive capability. He also stressed the importance of further developing light industry and innovating agricultural production. Choe said they should overcome the challenges by anti-reunification forces and bring new development in North-South relations to accomplish the historic cause of national reunification as soon as possible. He said the DPRK will make efforts to develop friendly relations with other countries in the idea of independence, peace and friendship.
