The death toll in the collapse of an under-construction building in Bangladesh has risen to seven after rescuers found two more bodies, officials said Friday.
Fifty-five people were rescued after the roof of the four-storey cement plant collapsed on them Thursday in Mongla industrial area, police officer Nizamul Hoque Molla said.
"The rescuers found two more bodies in the rubble Friday, raising the death toll to seven," Molla said.
Bangladesh has seen several deadly building collapses and fires in the past few years, including the Rana Plaza disaster in 2013, which killed more than 1,100 people.
