Pakistani authorities say the death toll from flash floods triggered by seasonal monsoon rains in various parts of the country has risen to 118, FOX News reported on Monday.
Meanwhile, floodwater has inundated vast areas, leaving tens of thousands homeless.
The National Disaster Management Authority says in a statement that the flooding has affected more than 800,000 people in 2,275 villages. About 2,900 houses have collapsed or are partially damaged.
The NDMA and Pakistani military moved tens of thousands of people to safety and provided relief goods.
The rain continues but weather conditions are expected to improve in coming days.
