Chinese Blue Sky Team is carrying out rescue operation work in Ingapu township of Myanmar's Ayeyawady delta, sending 13 local flood victims including 11 children to hospital, according to the BSR team on Saturday.

The first batch of 10-member Chinese BSR Team continued to launch their rescue operations in other townships of the delta region.

On Thursday, Myanmar President U Thein Sein met with the first batch of BSR team and was briefed on the progress in relief operations launched by the team during his inspection tour to Rakhine state, one of four declared disaster zones.

The largest Chinese non-governmental humanitarian organization arrived in Yangon Tuesday to extend a helping hand to Myanmar people affected by severe flood.

The second batch of a 21-member BSR team headed by Li Yunfeng arrived at Yangon International Airport on Saturday, along with eight rescue boats and relief aid.

Meanwhile, the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar has also called on Chinese enterprises in the Southeast Asian country to provide aid to flood victims and coordinate efforts in the rescue operation.

With relief aid worth 300,000 U.S. dollars, the Chinese flood relief mission, led by Ambassador Hong Liang, has visited flood areas of Sagaing and Magway regions as well as Rakhine State.

China's Yunnan provincial government handed over additional relief aid worth 2.41 million yuan (395,081 U.S. dollars) to the Myanmar side in Mandalay on Friday.

The death toll from flood has risen to 89 nationwide with more than 330,000 people affected and 505,215 hectares of farmland inundated.
