Chinese police: Man rams car into people, kills 5

A man intentionally rammed his carinto electric scooters and pedestrians near a school Monday in a southeastern Chinavillage, killing at least five people, AP quoted state media and police as reporting.Police subdued Lin Jianxin, 37, with a water gun when he threatened to set ablazegasoline after his disabled vehicle halted in the village of Zhuangtou in thesoutheastern province of Fujian, the government-controlled Southeast Express said.Provincial police employee Zheng Weitai said on a verified microblog that thesuspect was in police custody and that five people died, but he did not give details.
