Little Rock - UPI

knife-wielding man hijacked an Arkansas school bus full of children Thursday morning and took them on a 10-mile ride before he was arrested, police say. Officials said no one, including the 11 elementary school students, was injured, CNN reported. The incident began in the Little Rock suburb of Jacksonville when the suspect attempted to hijack a woman's car, said Jacksonville Police Capt. Kenny Boyd. The school bus stopped nearby and the man decided instead to board the bus. The bus drove off, and the woman called police. Investigators said they didn't know if the suspect was driving or if he was giving orders to the driver, but when the bus was stopped about 20 minutes later, the suspect was at the wheel, Boyd said. No charges have yet been filed. Boyd said investigators don't know why the bus was hijacked.
