Baltimore - UPI

An ROTC instructor called a Maryland cannibalism suspect a potential killer five months before his arrest on a murder charge, a police report says. Staff Sgt. Robert Edwards was quoted in a report after Alexander Kinyua, 21, punched a hole in a wall at an ROTC computer lab at Morgan State University in Baltimore, The Baltimore Sun reported. Edwards called Kinyua "an unusually angry person." "Mr. Edwards further stated that Mr. Kinyua is 'Virginia Tech waiting to happen,'" the report said, referring to the massacre byy a student who killed 32 students and faculty in 2007 before killing himself. Kinyua was dismissed from ROTC and temporarily banned from campus unless he was escorted by police but remained a student. On May 20, he was charged with hitting another student with a baseball bat, fracturing his skull and leaving him blind in one eye, but was released on bail. Last week, Kinyua allegedly told police he killed Kujoe Bonsafo Agyei-Kodie, 37, and ate his heart and brains. Agyei-Kodie, a former Morgan State graduate student, was living with Kinyua's family while awaiting deportation to Ghana. Kinyua, whose father is a physics lecturer at Morgan State, was apparently a good student and loved ROTC. A former roommate told the Sun he "was always different but he was still a cool person to be around," the Sun reported. But other students describe behavior that was increasingly disturbing, including talk of "mass human sacrifice." Kinyua had also posted warnings on his Facebook page.
