Bones found at alleged serial killer house

An archaeologist will search the backyard where human bones were found at a house once occupied by an accused serial killer, Canadian police said Tuesday. Construction workers found the bones Monday at the Ottawa townhouse, the National Post reported. Neighbors said Camille Cleroux lived there in the early 1990s, a link police would not confirm. Police said the archaeologist will do a "slow dig" of the yard. Cleroux faces three counts of murder. One of his alleged victims, his wife, Lise Roy, vanished while he was living in the townhouse. He told Postmedia News last year Roy is alive and he knows her whereabouts but wanted to consult a lawyer before talking to police. A common-law wife, Jean Rock, disappeared in 2003 and remains missing. Cleroux allegedly told police last June where to find the body of another woman, Paula Leclair, 64. A preliminary hearing began for Cleroux this week in Ottawa, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported.
