
At least one civilian was killed and six others including three policemen were injured on Monday when a magnetic bomb fixed to the police vehicle went off in Kunduz province of northern Afghanistan, said officials.
Police spokesman Sayyed Sarwar Hussaini told media that the explosion took place in front of Maiwand Bank in the capital city Kunduz.
He confirmed that a Maiwand Bank employee, a lady and three policemen were among the wounded that were taken to the local hospital. The security forces carried a search operation for clearance.
The blast took place at a time when NATO/ISAF forces are preparing to leave Afghanistan till end of the year handing over the overall security situation to Afghan forces.
