Belgium to conduct airstrikes against Daesh in Syria

Belgian air force will conduct airstrikes on positions of Daesh terrorist group in Syria from July 1, using six F-16 fighter jets, according to international news reports.
Belgium, as a part of a US-led coalition, has been conducting airstrikes against Daesh militants in Iraq since the summer of 2014.
According to Le Soir newspaper, the decision to expand the geography of operations to Syria was made by the Belgian authorities.
They have also prolonged the participation of the Belgian air force in operation in Iraq.
