Ercis - AFP

A two-week-old baby was pulled Tuesday from the debris of an earthquake in eastern Turkey that left at least 366 people dead, television stations reported. The mother of the infant was also alive but buried in the wreckage of their home in the town of Ercis and rescuers were trying to reach her, the reports on NTC and CNN-Turk television stations said. The rescue workers reached the baby, named Azra according to the reports, after hours of frantic digging and were working to free the mother whose name was given as Semiha. The father was missing, rescuers said. Search teams working round the clock earlier Tuesday rescued a pregnant woman and her two children and also dug out a police officer and his wife from their collapsed homes.
