An Oklahoma woman survived up to five days in a freezer she may have climbed into to escape severe storms, police say. Theresa Christian's son, Jermal Stewart, found the 59-year-old Tulsa woman in her apartment's chest freezer Wednesday. City police officer Jillian Roberson told KTUL-TV, Tulsa, she may have been there since Friday or Saturday. Christian was conscious but incoherent and suffering from severe frostbite on her legs when emergency personnel arrived and was listed in serious condition at a hospital, Cpl. Daisy Vallely said. The Tulsa World reported her son said the freezer's lid was open when he found her. Police said the woman may have had a reaction to medication that affected her cognitive abilities, the newspaper said. Investigators said they had found no signs of foul play.
