Abu Dhabi - Arabstoday

Two Asians, a man and a  woman, were killed in two separate accidents while five others sustained moderate to minor injuries in 4 accidents as a result of low visibility in dense fog. Thick fog covered Abu Dhabi city and its outskirts on Wednesday. Two flights had to be diverted to Sharjah International Airport. The woman was killed after being run over by a speeding car driven by a woman on the Corniche Road in Abu Dhabi while the man, a truck driver, was killed in a collision  past the Emirates Roundabout. The dense fog, which started forming at 3am and continued till 9:30am, reduced visibility to 200 metres in Abu Dhabi, 300 metres in Sharjah, 2,000 metres in Ras Al Khaimah and Al Ain and 3,000 metres in Dubai, according to the National Centre of Meteorology & Seismology.
