At least seven paramilitary soldiers were killed in a landmine blast triggered by Maoist rebels in India's central state of Chhattisgarh on Wednesday, police said.
The militants targeted a pick-up van in which personnel of the paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force were travelling in the Dantewada district.
According to the South Asia Terrorism Portal, more than 7,000 people, including civilians, militants and security personnel, have been killed in Maoist-related violence in India since 2005.
