More rockets hit Turkish border city
Ankara - Arab Today

Four people were injured on Sunday as two rocket projectiles fired from Syria landed in southeastern Turkey, the state-run Anatolia news agency reported.

The militants of the Islamic State (IS) reportedly fired the rocket projectiles on Sunday morning, landing on the border province of Kilis of southeastern Turkey and wounding four people, including a pregnant woman, according to the report.

The injured were taken to Kilis State Hospital for medical treatment, said the report, adding that Turkish police have increased the security measures in the region.

According to military sources, Turkish artillery fired on the IS positions on the Syrian side of the border in retaliation, killing nine IS members.

Turkey has been under indiscriminate rocket attack from Syria since mid-January. In Kilis province alone, a total of 18 people have been killed and 60 others wounded since Jan. 18.

Turkey has recently been on high alert as the country has been rocked by a series of suicide and car bomb attacks which claimed many lives and wounded hundreds more.
