4 terror suspects killed in Azerbaijan

Four suspects were killed and another arrested in a raid on a group suspected of planning terror attacks in Azerbaijan, the State Security Service said Wednesday.
The group reportedly pledged allegiance to terrorist groups involved in armed conflicts abroad, purchased guns and explosives and was preparing terrorist attacks in Azerbaijan, it said.
During the operation, the group attacked police officers with machine guns and pistols, it added.
In recent years, Azerbaijani security forces have been focusing on the threat posed by radical militant organizations, such as those responsible for the 1994 Baku Metro bombings and a 2007 Baku terrorist plot.
