
Two people were killed and more than 100 people were injured across Bangladesh after a 7.5 Richter scale earthquake struck the country on midday Saturday, weather office and police sources said.
An after shock at 5.5 Richter scale also shock the country. Weather office sources said two scared people were killed while coming out of their multi-story buildings--one in the capital and the other in western Pabna town.
Police and hospital sources said more than 100 people were wounded while hurriedly fleeing their buildings, which were tilted and cracked.
People working in multi-story buildings were scared and attempted to come out as the earthquake started, which lasted for more than one minute.
