2 killed in car crash in Houston

Two people were killed and another seriously injured when a truck slammed into a car in the U.S. city of Huston early Sunday, local media reported. The truck hit the car when making a turn in south Houston at around 2:45 a.m. CST, local media KHOU reported on its website. The truck slammed into the side of the car sending it into a ditch, while the truck rolled and flipped over into a ditch, police was quoted as saying, adding that the truck then burst into flames, trapping the two male occupants inside. Both men died inside the pickup, the police said, adding that the driver of the car was in serious condition and was taken to a local hospital. No other details are available now.
