Two boats collided on a river in the U.S. state of Texas and left two people dead and one injured, local media reported Sunday. The collision happened late Saturday along a bend of the Angelina River in east Texas, not far from the Louisiana line, local TV KETK reported. A boat carrying a man and woman hit head-on another boat carrying an adult and three children. The couple were killed in the collision while the adult on the second boat was sent to hospital for treatment. The children were unhurt, according to the report. Authorities are investigating what led to the collision. No other details are available now. The incident happened amid the Memorial Day Holiday when many families take to the lakes and rivers for water fun. A string of minor boat accidents were also reported during the weekend, the report said.
